For all those in my network that are tasked with testing and piloting CCS monitoring technologies, I want to call your attention to the relatively new Kimberlina simulated CCS plume data set. This a 1 Mt/yr injection rate plume in the Vedder sandstone in California at supercritical depths with an overpressure of ~2 MPa (~300 psi). Dynamic and static reservoir and geophysical property models as well as simulated geophysical data sets are published. This is a fit-for-purpose set of models for testing resolution limitations for CCS monitoring tools and workflows including seismic, EM, and gravity. I want to give a shout out to the team (Erika Gasperikova, David Alumbaugh, Dustin Crandall, Michael Commer, Shihang Feng, William Harbert, Yaoguo Li, Youzio Lin, and Savini Samarasinghe) that took the time to develop the models, organize them for website release, and publish papers to announce their release.
