Here are 8 strategies to lift your spirits (and your crew) during the winter months: Maximise Daylight Exposure: Take advantage of sunny days during port stops for outdoor activities. When at sea, spend time on deck during daylight hours or utilise well-lit areas on the yacht. Create Onboard Workouts: Design indoor workout routines that can be done in limited space. Encourage crew members to participate in group workouts to boost morale. Healthy Onboard Nutrition: Ensure the galley provides nutritious meals with a variety of fresh produce. Consider including mood-boosting foods in crew meals. Foster Onboard Social Connections: Organise team-building activities or themed dinners. Facilitate regular crew meetings to maintain open communication and connection. Enhance Crew Quarters Comfort: Personalise crew cabins with cosy elements like warm lighting and comfortable bedding. Create communal spaces with a relaxed atmosphere for downtime. Establish Routine in the Yachting Schedule: If possible develop a consistent work and rest schedule to provide stability out of season.
