Do you know why there is no cutting fluid in the CNC machining process? The material is black POM. The parts are used in a high-voltage environment so the customer has concerns about the cutting fluid being impregnated in the finished part. So, during the machining process, we didn't use cutting fluid, which requires exquisite techniques to prevent the parts from deforming due to high temperatures. #WayKen #CNC #POM #machining

Did you know some stamped parts require transforming sheet metal into a pin shape? This die does just that! It forms a flat spade and bends it up for a common terminal shape. Then creates a nice pin-type connector to be inserted in assembly. These pin-shaped features are common for Tellenar. We cut, coin, and fold the material progressively to achieve a perfectly tight-toleranced barrel. Questions about stamping? Our team is ready to hear from you! ——— #ToolAndDie #Manufacturing #PrecisionEngineering #PlatedTerminals #ReelToReel #TellenarInc #SheetMetalStamping #QualityMatters #EngineeringExcellence #transformers #manufacturingexcellence #tooling #cnc #advancedmanufacturing #mfg #engneering #sheetmetal #fabrication

How do you choose a #CNC manufacturing shop? Learning about its projects can tell you a lot about not only its technical expertise, but the ability of its team to see more efficient ways of doing things! For example, we machined this bushing seal for a client in the amusement park industry. This project came to us with requirements for a 6-10 micro finish. To attain the finish after heat treating to 50 HRc, we used a machining process called hard turning – which allowed us to form the workpiece into its final shape and surface finish right on the lathe, eliminating the need for secondary grinding. There’s more to the story behind this bushing seal, so read the complete case study on our website, then contact us to discuss YOUR project! https://lnkd.in/eci72hw7 #CNC #CNCmachining #CNCmilling #CNCturning #CNCMachiningServiceOrlando #PrecisionCNCmachining #WomanOwnedBusiness #MadeInTheUSA #AmericanMade #WBENC #MACF

April Manufacturing Tip: ***Keep Undercuts Simple*** Undercuts are highly accurate, recessed features that can't be machined with typical straight tools. However, using keyway or lollipop cutters, Polyhistor can handle almost any undercut request! Because undercuts can be incredibly challenging to machine, we advise engineers NOT to design complex features inside undercuts. If you have no choice but to place an intricate feature inside an undercut, consult with our product engineering team before finalizing your design. We’ll help you identify the best method for achieving your part’s required features while maintaining machinability and cost-effectiveness. *8 pcs Die Set* 💸 An 8 pcs die set typically refers to an 8-piece die set used in various manufacturing and machining processes. In manufacturing and metalworking, dies are specialized tools used to shape, cut, or form materials such as metal, plastic, or other substances. A die set, in this context, is a collection of individual dies designed to work together for specific tasks. Uses 1) Metal Stamping 2) Punching and Blanking 3) Embossing and Coining 4) Forming Operations 5) Bending and Folding #dieset #metalwork

As we dive into a new week, we’re excited to share more about our cutting-edge projects and the innovative techniques we use to deliver top-notch results. Stay tuned for a week filled with insights, highlights, and a closer look at the precision and expertise that drive our success. The die we are featuring today includes some forming assisted by a cam installed in the tool. Forming in a stamping die is often achieved by a simple punch and die relationship, where you pair the geometry needed to form sheet metal into its desired shape using a punch and a forming die. However, when superior control, curling, folding over, or other complex geometries are required, toolmakers rely on cams. Cams provide a simple horizontal action to perform forming work and are often driven by a simple angled piece of tool steel fixed to the punch plate. This offers a fast and reliable way to achieve horizontal controlled forming. #ToolAndDie #Manufacturing #PrecisionEngineering #TellenarInc #SheetMetalStamping #QualityMatters #EngineeringExcellence
