Mark Rosenberg and Iris Malone, PhD explain how GeoQuant measures key forces behind “MAGA politics” and how this is part of a broader ‘EM-ification’ trend in Developed Markets. The discussion includes how these risks evolved during the first #Trump administration, GeoQuant's forecasts for the second administration, and the signposts to watch for that could change these forecasts. True leaders live sacrificially. They expend their enormous strength to help rather than to oppress. Let the empathetic virtue of a true leader be the Hallmark of your brand.

Fascinating. In our closest primates, the leadership qualities that make them emerge as an alpha are empathy and providing security to the weakest in the group. What if leadership put these ideas up top? What would a leader have to give up to be an alpha in this view of things? Perhaps, instead of dominating the conversation in every meeting, the leader made space for others to speak, asked questions and waited for the answers, ensured everyone in the room had a chance to contribute if they had an idea to share, followed up on things they said they would, checked in with those who don’t speak up often, checked in with those that do, acted decisively, asked their people what they needed from the leader and then delivered that action or if not viable, came back and explained why not, respected the work that went into the project and if it had to pivot, explained why. Wouldn’t you want to work with a leader like this? Wouldn’t you want to be a leader like this if it meant your teams would work with enthusiasm and care about their work 10x more?

Looks like another example of power of the platform and extractive industrial practices taking advantage of people. Real research gains must look at citizen science now we have wider outreach. https://lnkd.in/dkUmCVSX

https://lnkd.in/gZyQPXfp As bro Eric Weinstine sez: WHY are we EVEN doing THIS?!? E.g., Holding an upcoming POTUS election with candidates BOTH being [zombie* choices] octogenarians at THIS our current very hopeful , promising, YET with Big Challenges & Phase Shifts, but no LESS a critically kairotic (turning , pivoting, evolutionary + peaceful revolutionary MOMENT in our shared Self-Organizing Society & Globally Civilizational Quantum Leap Forward ⏩ of the ALREADY Human Project's work in progress of the 21st century? We've NEVER ever attempted this obviously weakAss hold on 1950's THRU maybe 1972; let's ALL just call bullshit and vote for the independent candidate, or get it called a zombie election; scrap the whole thing, siderail THAT train 🚆 🚂; and, start over FROM scratch. CUZ indeed we can most certainly do better, AND We absolutely MUST. Especially SINCE there's TOO much at stake with the X-Risks, modern Techné issues, and the MUCH needed leadership as we speed 🚄 🚅 TOWARDS 2050. It's just plain NOT 🚫 pro social, pro peace, pro future, and pro human flourishing. THEREFORE, let's just decide to have no more candidates Born in 1946! Absolutely fascinating TEDX on what defines an Alpha (male or female) in today’s world. Empathy is the true essence of effective leadership—not muscle power, aggression, or a “look at me” attitude. #Leadership #Empathy #AlphaLeadership #EmotionalIntelligence #TrueLeadership #ModernLeadership #InclusiveLeadership #EffectiveLeadership

A great video for aspiring leaders to understand the differences between the types of “bosses.” Empathetic and understanding bosses are still difficult to find in the corporate world. Maybe we should revert ourselves to being bonobos again 🙊

Leadership. The qualities that make a leader - male or female, include empathy & peace-keeping. My kind of leader.

These days we tend to use the phrase alpha male to mean dominant, with a somewhat negative connotation, but primatologist Frans de Waal puts a different slant on the alpha role. In the chimpanzee world, the alpha male’s role is to keep the peace, be impartial, and show empathy. They provide comfort and security for the lowest members of the group, with the bonobos having a matriarchal society with females at the centre of their community. In my experience, leaders with these qualities have the strongest teams and best outcomes. These are the type of alpha personalities we need! #effectiveleadership #psychologicalsafety #team #development #empowerment
