Another great article in the #ft by Robin Wigglesworth reviewing some interesting research by #barclays. Its worth the read (and a subscription IMO) but his TL;DR is that transparency is creating a more equity like market in credit. I agree - I think it's now pretty obvious we are witnessing a significant structural shift towards a higher velocity credit market, driven by automated trading on both buy and sell side. At MarketAxess we are busy developing a suite of algorithms that allow clients to choose a strategy based on their execution priorities (e.g. time, price, market impact). This means that for the first time clients can trade blocks for the price of a much smaller trade. I think that is a Very Big Deal. #adx #algotrading #fixedincome
