Embedding #GenderEquity and #Inclusivity into the Construction and Operation of Infrastructure Projects In observance of UN International Women’s Day, we're spotlighting a case study from our inclusive infrastructure library on the U.S. Bank Stadium. This project prioritised increasing the involvement of women and minorities in both employment and business opportunities arising from the construction of a major sports venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Under a State mandate, an Equity Plan was devised to infuse inclusive principles into the project's framework. Post-completion, the plan was integrated into the operational phase. The case study delves into the execution of the plan and its reporting mechanism, designed to transparently and effectively monitor inclusivity targets. Like many organisations my client, Shawbrook Bank, faces challenges such as the gender pay gap, seniority gap, and women leaving prematurely, often losing the ambition they arrived with. The constant struggle to get more women into senior positions is a reality many companies know too well. To address these issues, I developed the Impact, Influence, and Confidence Programme. This initiative tackles these significant challenges and supports individuals in achieving greater impact, influence, and confidence in their work. The success we achieved in partnership with Shawbrook Bank was phenomenal. Every single woman in our group coaching and training programme stepped up in their roles, with many advancing their careers. These women are now recognised as emerging talent and leadership material, feeling more self-belief and confidence, even in environments that aren't always set up for their success. Banks, including Shawbrook, have signed up to a charter to resolve workplace inequality and our programme helps accelerate this progress in a practical way. I'm sharing this not only because I'm proud of the programme and its potential for many organisations but also to share some exciting news.
