ETHICAL PERSUASION TIP: Also remember that when you’re trying to persuade someone about your offering, that people are TWICE more motivated by the potential of loss, than possible gain. Almost all benefits of your proposal can be expressed in terms of what people stand too lose if they don’t move in your direction. RESEARCH As an example: Home owners agreed to insulated their home full 150% more when told (after an assessment) that they stood to LOSE $ x per day, instead of being told they stood to SAVE $ x a day.
