This will be the most personal note I'll ever have on here, but you have to point out others when they lift and hold you up, it's what we live for. I took an abrupt absence from work in May. I was diagnosed with a rare form Leukemia and went to Mayo in Rochester, MN to dial in a plan. The people there are unbelievable, and although its not a place you want to be, they make you feel so great about their knowledge and passion for you to heal. With this quick exit, it left many things in question in my mind: Clients, partners, co-workers etc... What if I didn't tell them enough information? Will they keep doing business if we don't respond for months? What happened was extraordinary and nearly always brings me to tears. People we work with only cared about making me go away and take care of my self. Jeremy Moore was my biggest champion of this and I will forever be grateful. Our company Range Sports and the entire ecosystem there (Peter Micelli, Greg Luckman, William (Will) Funk, Jack Whigham) was only worried about my family, not my work. I tell you this because choosing your work family matters. Are you a number to them or an active part of the family that continues to push boundaries and treat people different? I hope you always feel valued. After 9 weeks of treatment, I am blessed to be able to ring the bell and have my first full week back in the saddle. I am a lucky man with my family, both personal and work. #EndCancer
