Thanks for the article Bob Roth. The "Dying Broke" series is especially illuminating and provides good context for the ageing challenge faced by many societies. We're going through a change to Government funding for provision of aged services here in Australia but I fear we remain tied to a whole of society conception of ageing that is essentially, ageist. Housing stock, and the appropriateness of existing houses for people with age-related functional impairments (where and if they exist), is a salient issue. With too few home modification assessment professionals here in Australia (typically Occupational Therapist), even getting to the point where an older adult can remain in their own homes and communities is a challenge, especially for folk in regional, rural and remote areas. Just part of a broader set of issues we need to face as our society ages. Thanks again for your post.

The global challenges of long-term care for older adults indeed require our collective efforts. I resonate deeply with the sentiment of this article. As someone who's dedicated to the concept of Aging in Place, it's clear that integrating technology and caregiving can offer sustainable solutions. Bob Roth's insights on this are particularly enlightening. Let's collaborate to create a future where aging is synonymous with dignity and security.

Long term care = overall care. Caregivers, nurses, etc., need to know what is in your loved ones' mouths. Do you know what kind of dentistry has been performed in your parents or grandparents or clients' mouths? 🪥🦷😁🦋 Bob Roth
