Jacqui Lloyd, NZCA CEO, recently returned from a productive visit to Seatrade Med, marking our inaugural participation in this important event.
This was a prime opportunity to engage with key cruise line partners ahead of the season and strengthen New Zealand’s reputation as a must-visit region.
Discussions focused on rising costs, operational challenges, and future deployments. While there are concerns regarding New Zealand’s increasing fees, which could impact future itineraries, there’s also growing interest in emerging ports across the country.
Overall, feedback was positive, especially around logistics and visitor experience. However, the sector remains extremely concerned about the rising costs of operation.
Here’s to forging stronger partnerships and navigating future opportunities!
