A 430 am start on Sunday 19th May saw us fly from Bristol to Barcelona for a totally immersive two days as a trio. The 48-hour strategic business ‘sprint’in the delightful Catalonian suburb of Castadelfells was the ideal setting to make significant progress on key areas essential for our Franchise launch. Our focus included: Franchisee Financial Projection Modelling: It's critical that this component is precise right from the beginning. It really will provide a clear turnover pathway for the next 3-5 years. Mission, Vision, Values: Every venture needs an all encompassing explanation of what it stands for. These have been refined over time, and we now feel we have them just right. Operations Manual: This extensive document will provide each franchisee with the detailed guidelines they need. Years of diligent work is now down on paper. Franchisee and Franchisee Launch Strategy: A task related calendar that ensures we stay accountable and deliver the project on schedule. More thoughts on international investing. Sometimes you invest with your heart. For example, Manchester United is still a public company. It’s one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world. Entering the franchise world felt like a new world for me. My first venture with Show Homes, a home staging and real estate photography business, fit my photography background. As a rookie franchise owner, I bought three units that became top performers. When the founder needed to sell, I took over despite having only $37 in my account.
