I believe in the power of community engagement and wellness. Being part of this project has been so inspiring with the immense dedication, efforts, small miracles, and sheer enthusiasm for a shared goal within my community. Part of my value & goal system is being a well rounded human, not being solely defined by one of my characteristics labels (lab, mom, wife etc.). We are defined by more than just our “9-5”. An inability to balance out these realities is when we see “dis”ease creep in, depression, anxiety, and issues with wellness. Humans intrinsically want to be more than just their job. I'm Denise and together with my fellow trustees, I am founding a charity that will ensure a holistic approach to wellbeing is available to all, no matter their socio-economic status! The foundation’s primary concern is ‘To support people living with mental, emotional, physical and overall welfare challenges’ The aim is to empower people with easy to understand and apply wellbeing practices. We are looking for support to ensure we can: o Deliver pro-active resources to the Foundation’s beneficiaries o Achieve fund-raising – ensuring the charitable purpose can be achieved. We will do this by pulling together a community of amazing health practitioners who can make a bigger difference through their combined skillsets and resources. The foundation’s trustees believe that when implemented correctly and with the support of trained and qualified professionals, wellbeing can become an integral, indispensable part of everybody’s lives. Wellbeing practices help people achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance ensuring they are equipped to positively manage life’s challenges. To make it happen – we need to build a community! Would you like to be part of a community that can help people ‘Choose to LIVE and not just exist’? To fully embrace life with a positive, balanced perspective. Living life through a calm, focused and happy approach. We are looking for people working within all areas of the wellness sector who are happy to donate/contribute to the Foundation's work. Anything from a three minute video upwards. There are no limits to the number of contributions we would like to receive. The Foundation will always need more; classes, talks, workshops, and motivational speakers, keeping content fresh and current for its donors and the Foundation’s beneficiaries. We will work with a community of practitioners whose outlook, ethics, values and beliefs align with the primary concern of the foundation and would like to be a part of something bigger than any of us are individually, having a positive human impact that supports the lives of others.
