This is called a Drive-by Comment. This type of comment is stupid and has zero value. There's nothing in the comment that would make anyone pause and say, "Hey, maybe he's right" because there's no citation of standard. My reply is below. Explain why. You can't explain why because you are unaware that remains travel feet-first. On a ship, the casket would be sent over the side going feet-first, the flag would be held exactly like this because the canton must be at the head over the left shoulder. Just because this is an urn doesn't make a difference. This is how the flag is positioned every single time for a burial at sea. These Sailors are #pallbearers #bodybearers #casketbearers - this is not a flag detsil. They are at Attention aboard a ship, that's why their feet are separated holding the flag over the urn at tabletop. If their heels were together, they would fall over because of the waves. 👍I don't mind anyone forming an argument completely or partially against what I post, but it needs to reference published standards. Actually told to me a few years ago. Please think on this: your team "beat" other teams at a certain competition on a certain day and time. You had so much time and certain equipment with which to work. Most likely, not all teams were there. Winning is fun and a great achievement, but had anything in that short list above changed, the outcome might have been very different. Competition matters because it's about being better than you were yesterday. Your team is different - not necessarily better - than other teams. Its not about "beating" or scoring better than others, especially since most every judge out there is only reacting in a "like/dislike" thought process, which is completely normal! Others may not have facilities to practice or maybe their team can only meet twice a week for a total of three hours. While your team practices 10 hours each week. Do the best you can with what you have, that's all anyone can ask. If you are not doing your best all the time, you have no one else to blame. 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals! #medalmonday. Wanted to take some time and try a couple different things here. I wanted to take some time and tell a little about some other passions I have other than helping people work towards their goals, through showing some pictures of medals for various events I’ve completed. This past weekend I finished the Air Force Half Marathon for the third time in person. If you have ran it, you know it’s a hilly course, and this particular weekend a bit more humid than others. Now what does it take to finish a half marathon. Time and discipline, which is also one of our coaching principles with financial planning. Having discipline in working towards your goals is one of the key habits to build whether it be financial or physical health.

Nearly every well-meaning officer recommends "A Message to Garcia" as a testament to the necessity of initiative for military success. Yes, and it's also a crutch for leaders who misuse commands as a one-way street, which they're not, instead of an expectation conversation, which they are. In this spirit, I started a Google folder titled "LT Rowan Should Have Asked More ?s" (https://lnkd.in/gWGkXkCv) In it, #veterans like Todd Connor and Jake Baranik advise transitioning service members who have bundles of initiative but also have clarifying questions. These vets don't mistake activity for productivity, so they take a tactical pause to check their trajectory before taking off. ✍ If you would like to contribute, please click on the link, follow the SOP, and pay back the mentorship and wisdom passed along to you! 📨 Also, please share these resources with any veterans who may be transitioning. 🤝 Finally, as some of the entries note, there are many, many programs available to transitioning soldiers; often, it's an awareness issue - we can fix that. For example, Brendan Aronson's work at The Military Veteran, and Justin Brown with HillVets. Feel free to tag those folks/their organizations below. None of us did it alone. Rolling Stones "I can't think outside of my tiny paradigm, so I'm going to whine and complain about something I don't understand!" That paradigm, in this case, comes from USMC Boot Camp and his return to instruct. Eventually, most of my videos on Facebook get views in the hundreds of thousands, which is good, but it means stupid comments are sure to be posted. A while ago I posted this brief video of a behind-the-scenes look at individual training and rehearsal for a 1stSgt at Marine Barracks Washington. Oh the whining! Very few are willing to ask questions, and when they do, some appreciate my explanation. When commenters write something like this, they are even less willing to understand my explanation because they absolutely refuse to learn anything but the party line. We need people like this in each service, but we don't need them that way for life. An unwillingness to learn is a dead end. No growth equals stagnation equals obsolescence in some cases. I'm getting a kick out of these #DrivebyComment posts! I hope you are too. Proof of concept is not a #product it has to go through several iterations and one of the biggest requirement when we are building for #defence is it should not add on to the existing work. Aren’t we in our exuberance of harnessing #technology and in the race of #onboarding and showcasing #expenditure tying a noose ? #Army taught me “devil is in the details” and those who go the extra mile to find em are generally the ones re writing the history. There are no halfway to this, or you can circumvent it in anyway. Testing is the only way !! And devising a test requires skill set not copy pasting spec sheets. If you can’t find the devil let me know I will find it for you. #innoavtion #technology #selfreliance
