5 Great TV Scenes That Subtly Reveal Character & Motivation: Revealing character in unique and interesting ways is easier said than done. The holy grail for writers are scenes that do that, further story and (the cherry on top) nod to theme. Pull it off with a dash of subtext and you are well on the way to becoming accomplished at your craft. What is subtext? Subtext occurs whenever information is conveyed in an indirect way. In other words, a reader or audience must “read between the lines” to conclude the real meaning behind character dialogue or action. At Story Inkubator, we’ve collected 5 great character revealing scenes – to show you just how backstory and motivation can be built successfully into the narrative. 1. Ted Lasso S01 E08: The Darts Scene 2. Mare of East Town E02: The Doctor Scene 3. Better Call Saul S04 E10: The Intern Scene 4. Grey's Anatomy: Derek & Miranda in the Elevator Scene 5. How to Get Away With Murder S01 E04: The Wig Scene Click on the link to watch the scenes and read more! #tvdrama #screenwriting #screenwriters

Britsploitation Trailers: Audio Commentary Edition. Expanding our series of Britsploitation movie trailer compilations, here is an original content version - (almost) 90 minutes of trailers with an audio commentary track from your humble editor, who regularly does these things for various Blu-ray distributors. Commentary on a film trailer is not exactly going to go into the full story behind a movie but I've squeezed in as much information, background and trivia as two or three minutes allows. https://lnkd.in/embEGMws

TV Tip: Don’t do something simply because someone else does it. People who work in TV are planners and typically have a formula to offset a never-ending cycle of chaos. Plans are great. Formulas are great. Don’t be afraid to shake it up. Try and implement something new each week. ✅ New camera shot ✅ Cold open ✅ Breakout on big stories ✅ Use of NAT sound in a package These are a few suggestions off the top of my head. Tap into your creative side!

7moLove a good ol' fashioned jingle. And Pigeon Forge needs more traditional media. Just my 2 cents.
