Recently I wrote about hybrid model and its positive features on our wellbeing and productivity. Nevertheless, today I had some déjà vu's from Covid times. Reconciling working from home with children staying at home on holidays, difficult isn't it? 😞 My strategy to survive is to give children plenty of possibilities what they can do. So they have check-list of many activities (Xbox and PS4 included 😉but of course with some time limitations). I'm trying to be normal, not too severe mother. 😘 I want to show children how many interesting things can be done in our spare time. Playing is fun but riding a bicycle or going for a walk can be fun too. There is also reading, playing cards and dashboard games on the list. Thanks to my check-list children are supplied with many ideas so they simply just cannot come and say "I'm bored" or "I don't know what to do". Games at the Wellbeing Hubs 🃏🧩🎲 Playing games can support our wellbeing in many aspects; fostering community and relationships, and improving our resistance and problem-solving skills. One of our brilliant Wellbeing Leads, Andrew, shared: "We make sure that we play a lot of games in the Wellbeing Hub. We play a lot of different varieties of games, and they engage different aspects of our wellbeing. One of the games we’re really into playing at the moment is called Avocado Smash 🥑 It's like a game of snap, but with extra smash! This quick game picks us up when we’re feeling down, and is simple to play, so it’s accessible to all students without much explanation – always useful. You can play with as little as two people too. It doesn’t take long, so it’s a good game to play as a break from revision.
