I met the Bollinger family in 1986, shortly after the shipyard was awarded its first USCG contract. The business was very much a family business with a strong customer focus. I'm glad that their history is being preserved for younger generations to learn about, as successful businesses like Bollinger require founders to take risks and understand their customers in order to grow.
