📍Selfridges 🛍️Online vs in person shopping🛍️ In a world where online shopping was expected to dominate, there is an underlying resurgence in the appeal of in-person shopping for the following pitfalls of ecommerce: 😭Long delivery times and delays 🎁Lost packages 📈High delivery costs 🤡Complicated returns process Sure, ecommerce has brought convenience and speed to our lives, but there’s a price we pay. These problems can often turn the excitement of online shopping into a frustrating experience… hurting customer retention and loyalty. Just when we thought retail was on its last legs, we're reminded that sometimes it’s just easier (and quicker!) to pop into a store and get / return what we need. So it’s more important than ever to optimise the online shopping experience for both domestic and international customers. The returns process online can be a real hassle. Printing labels, paying for postage, and waiting for refunds—it all adds up to extra time and effort. Compare that with walking into a store like Zara, handing your item back at the front desk, and being done with it in minutes. Ecommerce brands, you’re still competing with retailers. The takeaway? If brands want to stay ahead, they need to offer premium experiences that match—or even exceed—the convenience of in-person shopping. Otherwise, brick-and-mortar might just have the last laugh🙀 #TheEcommerceOS #EcommerceEvolved #Retail #Ecommerce #Onlineshopping #Returns
