Great summer news! We have now submitted an application for our phase 2a trial, planned to start in quarter four, 2024. The results from the SAD are due early next year! Yesterday the last participant in our SAD completed his final clinic visit marking the end of the clinical part of the study. This is sooner than initially planned. Therefore it´s possible to present these results already in the January-February transition. As for MAD - the second part of the clinical trial - this will be communicated in the second quarter of 2024, as previously communicated. "This is the first information we will receive about LIB-01 in humans, I´m very excited. The analysis and subsequent results represent a rapid and valuable increase in the understanding of our candidate and guides us in the development work ahead", Elin commented the news. Now, our Board of Directors announces the intention to perform a rights issue of units equivalent to approximately SEK 125 million before costs and excluding proceeds from the following warrants in the units. The Rights Issue is secured up to approximately 65 percent through subscription commitments from major shareholders, such as Bertil Lindkvist, Tor Finans AB, Torsten Söderberg and the founder of Dicot Jarl Wikberg, and from all members of the Board of Directors and executive management, together with external investors who have provided underwriting undertakings. All and all, this amounts to approximately SEK 81.3 million. The next step is an extraordinary general meeting on August 1, to authorize the Board of Directors to resolve on the Rights Issue. We don´t wait around, to maximize speed we do things in parallel. Before finalizing the phase 1-study, we have started the preparations for a phase 2a trial, planned to commence in the second half of this year.   CTC AB is now contracted to conduct the trial and our study drug has already been produced by the contract manufacturer Thermo Fisher Scientific.
