Established in 2019, the #BEFFECT program, with a team of over 770 employees, is dedicated to helping build and support Montreal communities. With a growing membership and 28 events organized this year alone, we take immense pride in the impact that this program is creating. We would also love to highlight the collaboration of some of our partners Chic Resto Pop, Sun Youth Organization, Chaînon and West Island Mission de l'Ouest de l'Île. Celebrating Community Creativity and Transformation in the Kimberley Region! 🌟 Today, we're thrilled to share our video featuring Clancy McDowall, the Executive Officer for the Kimberley Arts Network (KAN). Clancy's words resonate with the spirit of our region and the incredible journey of KAN. We had the pleasure to spend some time with them and felt so inspired. Founded in late 2018, KAN has blossomed into a vital hub for the arts in the Kimberley. From running workshops and programs to supporting local creativity, KAN has truly enlivened our region's cultural landscape. The pivotal moment came in 2021, when KAN needed its own space. The discovery and transformation of an old scout hall in Broome, leased on a peppercorn agreement, marked a new chapter. Despite its dilapidated state, the community, supported by a Kimberley Development Commission RED grant, transformed it into a vibrant arts hub. This space is more than just a building; it's a testament to the Kimberley's creative spirit. It provides office, workshop, and social event spaces, fostering collaboration and growth. It is unlocking a whole lot of opportunities for KAN and the community. The journey doesn't end here. With the successful completion of the grant, KAN is set to expand its capacity, promising an even brighter future for arts in Kimberley.
