I may be in that picture from 1999... Global-Express was a beauty... I know... I know... it's bragging... but if you were there in the crowd, at the roll-out, at the first flight... or in other airplane factories, you'll understand... and this is what makes airplane building special.

The Gulfstream business jet offerings are superior; better quality, longer range, lesser purchase price, lower DMC, better ergonomics, better customer support, better passenger windows (style and pane visibility) and better overall esthetic lines. Rebranding Bombardier is not going to be enough to save a taxpayer-sucking dreadnought like Bombardier. Never forget that the Canadair Challenger product was "gifted" by the Canadian (Liberal) government to Bombardier and they sucked R&D money from Ottawa, like no other company in Canada's history, and still managed to drive company stock value to junk status. Poor accounting and ill-conceived budgeting and bullying by Boeing killed the C-series, and Bomardier gave it away at a fire sale price to Airbus. Why can't anyone admit that Bombardier is a beached whale?

Bombardier has rebranded the company many times, what makes this company unique is the vision of their senior leadership, coupled with quality that’s built into all their products with the dedication of each employee. Bombardier will always have a special place in my heart especially now with such a sleek new logo. Congratulations on the Global 8000 tests. Breaking 1.0 mach in a swept wing business jet is no small feat. Make Canada proud! Bombardier literally means “bomber” in French. How cool is that? Awesome stuff.
