We wrap up our wrap up of Event Marketer's Experiential Marketing Summit in the only place that makes sense... A quick state of the events industry. Across conversations with brands, media, and my fellow agency friends the sentiment that I took away is that 🎇 Events are back...almost. Tradeshows are looking good, basically fully back to pre-COVID levels. B2B events are still recovering, but they're getting there. What we thought would be a banner year in 2024, might actually peak from 2025-2028. One interesting point within the B2B industry is that female attendance recovery is lagging well behind male. Don't have the full data to analyze the why of this one, but open to anyone's thoughts on what you're seeing. All that being said, brands are getting ready (or some already are) to bet big on experiential. For event marketers, they're coming back strong with a creative-driven mentality. So bring on the big ideas! But at a corporate level (and likely procurement perspective), it's all about: ✅ Sustainability ✅ Efficiency ✅ Cost savings As always - we (agencies and brands) must strike a balance in order to best engage people that matter most, deliver ROI, and drive pipeline to the business.
