Beloved Annapolis tutor Zena Hitz recently presented this lecture "What's Wrong With History?" on the Annapolis campus. Ms Hitz notes that, "in a St. John's seminar, we do not approach the readings historically, that is, "in a context." Instead, we ask them questions, as we might ask living people questions, and engage them in conversation and shared inquiry. Is this simply the way we prefer to read? Or is something wrong with a historical approach to a great book? If so, what?" https://lnkd.in/gmtJ6-jA
