Results Are In! 📊 Let's Talk Professional Development (PD) Preferences Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent poll! Here’s what we learned: 45% prefer Online Courses/Videos 📺 35% enjoy Workshops/Conferences 🛠️ 20% value Peer Mentoring/Shadowing 👥 🍎 What does this mean for school district leaders? The strong preference for online courses shows the growing demand for flexible, self-paced learning opportunities. Districts should consider expanding their virtual PD offerings, which can be a cost-effective way to reach a larger number of educators. However, don’t underestimate the value of in-person workshops and peer mentoring. These traditional methods remain crucial for hands-on experiences and building strong professional relationships. 💡Creative Ideas for PD: Micro-Learning Modules: Bite-sized training that fits into a busy teacher's day. PD Playlists: Curate a set of resources and videos that educators can choose from based on their interests. Virtual Reality (VR) Simulations: Use VR to simulate classroom management scenarios or new instructional techniques. Peer-Driven “Teachbacks”: Have teachers lead short sessions for their peers on a topic they've mastered. Learning Circles: Small, informal groups that meet regularly to discuss new strategies and share experiences (think topic-specific PLCs). Follow-Up Question: We want to hear from you again! 👇 What's one creative way you think PD could be improved in your district? Share your thoughts in the comments! #ProfessionalDevelopment #PDResults #EducatorVoice #InnovativePD #BookNook #EdTech #TeacherTraining #BackToSchool #K12Leadership
