Is an Executive Retreat worth the time and resources? 🤔 We've seen firsthand how leadership teams thrive when they intentionally gather in person, especially in a new location 🛫 It’s easy for execs to get pulled into the day-to-day operations and minutiae of the business. But their true value is not in the minutiae; rather, it's in the company vision, strategy, and big picture. Removing executives from their daily routines and bringing them together allows them to focus on the high-level strategy and big-picture thinking that's crucial for business growth. 📈🎯 We're exploring the impact Executive Retreats can have on your organization ➡️ https://lnkd.in/epPZ4miM

For your organization to function well and fulfill its purpose, the individuals who lead it must be able to do the same, while simultaneously inspiring and enabling those they lead to do the same. It’s a domino effect that starts at the top of the organization. That's why an executive retreat is an investment that starts that chain of positive reactions off strong. Leaders must create strategies for success. Strategic retreats are essential elements of the planning process for Executive teams. They allow time, space, and a place to discuss lessons learned, define organizational goals, assess available resources to accomplish the goals, formulate team plans, and define each leader's responsibility in attaining the organizational goals. Retreats allow the leaders time to develop a plan to address the communication plan to the rest of the organization and establish a management system that will ensure the team’s stay on track. This ensures that organizational leaders have the necessary information and insight to direct, guide and motivate the team to success. #executivedevelopment #executiveleadership #organizationaldevelopment #organizationalleadership #CEO #strategicplanning #strategy #businessandmanagement #businessandleadership #businessownership #entrepreneurship

Why do your offsite retreats fail to get the ‘deep dive’ results you need? Simply put – beautiful locations, business talks, and workshops combined with usual team-building or fun activities may be good but don't bring out the full potential. The top minds and talents of your company are not ‘off-the-shelf’ professionals. To ignite and elevate them to the next level, and to break down barriers to address and take action on key business areas, every aspect of a retreat must be specifically designed in parallel with your company’s objectives, goals, and the unique needs of each participant. This morning, while planning my next leadership retreat, I adhered strictly to what I know enables my clients to achieve development, team-building, and, crucially, the deep dive into trust necessary for addressing vital business themes. Here are the key vital points: • No ‘off-the-shelf’ products: Never offer generic solutions. • No carbon-copy itineraries: Each retreat must be tailored to the specific objectives and people. • Customise everything: Every detail, down to the food, should be personalised. • No hands-off approach: Work hand-in-hand in close collaboration with any external organisers to ensure every aspect aligns with the goals of the clients. • Follow-ups built in: Ensuring continuity and sustained impact. And finally, facilitating isn’t simply about efficient people – it’s about working with the right people whose energy and style fit the focus of the retreat itself. Retreats should be energising, fun, serious, and memorable – the team who runs them must also be. Your senior professionals have honed their skills over years of tailored and refined work. They deserve an equally bespoke retreat experience. When planning your next retreat, go beyond the ordinary. Go simpler, deeper – go bespoke. Working with him always brings added value to every reatreat! #Leadership #PersonalDevelopment #Motivation

Have you ever wondered what our outdoor group coaching sessions at Stanmer Park are all about? Let me give you a sneak peek into what you can expect—and more importantly, what you'll walk away with. 1. A Breath of Fresh Air (Literally and Figuratively): Forget the usual office vibe. Imagine stepping into the peaceful surroundings of Stanmer Park’s forest. It’s the perfect setting to clear your mind, reduce stress, and spark new ideas. Nature has a way of helping you see things differently, and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for. 2. Real Connections, Real Conversations: There’s something about walking side-by-side with fellow leaders that makes conversations more open, honest, and impactful. No sitting across a table, no formalities—just genuine discussions that help you and your team connect on a deeper level and think creatively together. 3. Takeaways You Can Use Right Away: This isn’t just about talking; it’s about action. You’ll leave with practical tools and strategies you can start using immediately—whether it’s refining your leadership approach, boosting team collaboration, or sparking that next big idea for your business. 4. A Focus on You, Too: Yes, we’re here to talk business, but we’re also here for you. Expect some time for personal reflection, to think about your own growth, your goals, and just take a moment to breathe. It’s all part of the experience, and it’s going to do wonders for your wellbeing. 5. An Impact That Lasts: The benefits don’t stop when the session ends. You’ll head back to work with a clearer sense of direction, a solid action plan, and a fresh perspective that stays with you. Plus, the connection to nature gives you a little boost that keeps you motivated and inspired long after we part ways. If this sounds like what you need, join us at Stanmer Park and see for yourself. Let’s get out of the office and into the woods—your next big breakthrough could be just a walk away. Chief Learning Officer | I build and grow leadership development programming for leaders nationally | Instructor @ Columbia Teacher’s College | Fierce Working Mom
Earlier this week, I co-facilitated a half day retreat with an extraordinary group of leaders. It was a highly productive meeting, but what makes them extraordinary is their thoughtfulness. They understand the immeasurable value of blocking out a half day to focus on the wellbeing of the team. Professional development has a bad reputation. Often, dedicating this kind of time to learn, grow and work together is perceived as a waste or a distraction from the “real” work. Paradoxically, it IS the work. Team wellbeing is dependent upon opportunities to connect deeply, to build/maintain psychological safety, to calibrate messaging and move toward the same North Star. Productive retreats, workbursts, long meetings, whatever you want to call them can be incredible levers both for team morale and for getting shit done. Leaders, attend to your team members hearts and heads concurrently. The wellbeing of your team as a unit is what drives your bottom line. (Thanks to Andie Corso, PCC, and Christina Foti for creating the space. In every way. ❤️)
