🌈💫🦣Respect is a fundamental value that transcends cultural boundaries and applies not only to human relationships but also to the animal kingdom. One remarkable example of respect can be found in the profound love and devotion of elephant mothers. Among the many extraordinary qualities of elephants, the maternal instincts and care they exhibit for their young are truly awe-inspiring.🦣👍 🌈💫🦣Elephant mothers are known for their unwavering dedication to their calves. Pregnancy in elephants lasts nearly two years, and once the calf is born, the mother invests an immense amount of time and energy in nurturing and protecting her offspring. This commitment is a testament to the deep bond between elephant mothers and their babies, showcasing the pinnacle of maternal love and care in the animal kingdom.👍🦣 🌈💫🦣Furthermore, the elephant matriarchal society provides another dimension of respect within their familial units. Elder female elephants, known as matriarchs, play a vital role in guiding and protecting the younger generations. Their wisdom and experience are highly respected, and the herd often looks to them for leadership, ensuring the survival and well-being of the entire group.👍🦣 🌈💫In observing the love, devotion, and respect within elephant families, we are reminded of the importance of these values in our own lives. The elephant mother's love serves as a powerful reminder of the depths of maternal love and the significance of respecting and cherishing the bonds we share with our loved ones.👍🦣 🌈💫🦣 #respect #relationship #understanding #commitment #animallove #leadership #powerful #connection #strength #LinkedIn #LinkedInfamily #followme #2023goals👍🦣

Meerkats exhibit a fascinating social structure centered around tight-knit family groups called mobs. This particular mob in my post has our newly born pups with their parents exploring the exhibit. In the wild, they employ a cooperative system to protect their vulnerable pups from predators like birds of prey and snakes. When we first released them to the exhibit we observed a similar behavior as the father went out first to check then environment then later returned to call the rest of the mob. When we provided this enrichment, the male was observed to be getting all the hidden superworm for the pups. Meerkats are omnivores, consuming a variety of insects, small mammals, and even plant matter. However, in the wild, foraging is a group effort, enhancing their chances of finding food and minimizing individual risk. This cooperative behavior is crucial for their survival in harsh environments. This Cognitive enrichment managed to provide opportunities for social interaction, group foraging, and such activities can enhance the well-being of captive meerkats. Creating an environment that stimulates their natural instincts fosters both physical and mental health, promoting a more enriching and fulfilling life in captivity. #animalwelfare

Did You Know? Many Mammal Mamas Carry Kids on the Left Regardless of whether they are left- or right-handed, human moms tend to cradle their babies on the left side of their bodies, especially in the early months. This left-handed bias likely has to do with the human brain’s lopsided layout: sensory information on the left side of the body is processed on the right side of the brain. The brain’s right hemisphere is also where emotions are processed, so holding and observing the baby on the left may help transmit social information to the right side more efficiently. Babies seem to prefer to keep their mother in the left visual field, too. Fascinatingly, researchers recently documented left-side bias in non-primate mammal mothers. #postpartumsupport #doulasupport #uganda #kampala #mothercare

💞💗💞In both humans and animals, mothers play a crucial role in teaching their offspring, often through discipline. ❤️❤️While the methods may differ, the core intention is the same: correcting behavior and instilling survival skills. 🟩In animals, a mother might nip or swat her young when they act out or disobey, similar to how human mothers may reprimand their children for mistakes. 🔶💞🔶This type of correction is meant to guide the young, helping them understand boundaries and the consequences of their actions, fostering growth and learning in a structured environment. #Motherhood #DisciplineAndCare #AnimalInstinct #TeachingThroughCorrection #ParentalGuidance

Elephants 🐘 are almost humans 🚶 Except that they are never greedy! An elephant mother may carry the calf in her womb for close to 22 months, which is twice the period a human mothers pregnancy period But the care the mothers take to deliver healthy babies/calfs are much similar Elephants too live in groups and care for each other, of course without expectations, unlike the humans Elephants calfs are cared for by the herd for almost 16 years, much like human children who grow up under the loving care of their parents Though the difference is that the elephant calves, as adults are expected to care for themselves Unlike the human children, who are supported even as adults Elephants for generations follow the path of their ancestors to migrate in search of fodder and water & Never will they stray from their path unless and otherwise their paths are blocked Wherein, we, the humans, not only stray but try to occupy the paths of the elephants for personal gains and drive the elephants to move away from their ancestral paths Elephants have never killed a human to trade but only to save themselves Whereas, the humans erased the elephants race, to win in their race for amassing enormous wealth Elephants have a sharp memory, much sharper than humans in terms of remembering with gratitude, the people who helped them grow While the humans, though have a good memory, fail to feel grateful to the those who helped them grow Elephants are the major cause for maintaining the vegetation growth in jungles and thus assist Nature to well balance the flora and fauna Humans on the other hand are the major cause for destruction of the environment and play a crucial role in defying Nature from finding its balance Despite their huge physical size, elephants are known as 'gentle giants', while the humans, comparatively tiny by physical size, have proved to be 'giants' by thoughts and actions The greed of the humans almost drove the elephant 🐘 population to extinction and thanks to a few good souls amidst the self centred hearts of humans The elephant population increased in the past decade + to promise a better future for both the elephants and the humans Yes, elephants are almost human and a lot better than humans 🚶 May today, the elephant day, mark the beginning of a better life for them in this world 🌍 #worldelephantday
