I absolutely love working in recruitment! 💙 It's such a rewarding job - you get to be part of the process of matching an individual's skills and qualifications with a role and company they are passionate about. It's really fulfilling to be a part of that journey. 🤗 I also love the variety of the job and the challenge of working in a competitive industry. Every day is different, you get to meet lots of new people and you never know the outcome of any particular situation. It's exhilarating! 🤩 Name an industry where you get taken out to fancy restaurants and the best places in London as a reward for simply doing your job, name an industry where every day is a fun filled and exciting, and you will struggle to find a sector like recruitment 😂 Finally, the fast-paced nature of the industry is a lot of fun. As a recruiter, you get to work on multiple roles at once, often with tight deadlines, and you never quite know what's around the corner. It definitely keeps you on your toes! 🤪 #Recruitment #JobSeekers #JobSearching

Sometimes we acquire new clients who, from the outset, declare, 'This vacancy is absolutely problematic.' This was the case with our client—an international logistics company—who had been unable to find a Personal Assistant / Office Manager for almost 9 months! 😅 Upon commencing our collaboration, we discovered that another recruitment agency had previously worked with them, yielding no acceptable candidates. We revamped the vacancy and the search process, resulting in the successful placement of an office manager within just one month! 😎 👉 Nine months of searching versus finding a new employee in just one month—we believe we don't need to describe which situation is better for your business! Do you need help with staffing too? Just contact us! https://itcamp.lv/ #Case #success #Recruitment

My phone rings .. I pick up: Candidate: "Hello, is the [specialist engineering job] still available, I'd seen it advertised recently." I advised him that it was. Candidate: "Does it happen to be with company ‘X’?" I advised that it was and asked how he knew the company already. "It sounded really like a job that another recruiter had called me about very recently." I asked him why, if he wanted to apply for the job, he didn’t go through the other recruiter. Candidate: “It was [X] agency that called me. They don’t know me, they don’t know my current employer, who I work with, my career history, they don’t understand the city I live in or the challenges we have in the local professional market. How can they when they aren’t even in the same country.” The recruitment industry can be brutal. I love it because I have an innate faith in human beings. I simply ask - to both employers and those looking for a new job - when an agency calls, or when you choose an agency - find someone who understands *you*. Find someone who understands why you might and might not want to work in a particular suburb, who knows the park or event you went to at the weekend, who knows your current, previous and future colleagues, who knows the history of the Melbourne #propertyandconstruction space. I'm on 0447 042 897 if you'd like to chat. Just not at 2pm please. I'll be queuing for #taylorswift tickets. #everyonehasastory

Get. It. Right. As a Temps consultant, I've had the privilege of connecting incredible talent with amazing opportunities. One thing that consistently stands out is the importance of getting the brief right. Here are some key aspects we value when receiving a role brief: Hours: Understanding the expected working hours is crucial. Is it a standard 9-to-5, flexible, or something else? Clarity is key. Hybrid: or Remote: In today's world, the work environment matters. Whether it's fully remote, hybrid, or in-office, let us know so we can match candidates' preferences accurately. Responsibilities: Being specific about the job duties and expectations helps us find candidates whose skills align perfectly with the role. When clients provide a thorough brief, it allows us to present opportunities that align with candidates' aspirations and lifestyle choices. Every detail matters, and even seemingly small preferences can make a difference in finding the right fit. Let's remember that behind every CV is a real person with unique preferences and needs. A successful recruitment process is about more than just job titles and qualifications, it's about finding the perfect balance between an individual's aspirations and a company's vision. #recruitment #jobbrief #Getitright

A client has just reached out requesting recruitment insights and trends in the Auckland market to support her prep on their upcoming board meeting 📈 Given I'd just typed up the email response - I thought it might be helpful to post here too! Let me know if there are specific industry insights you'd like to know more about? 💡 It’s an employers market at present, as a hiring manager, you’ll experience huge volumes of applications for roles advertised on job boards – but not always you'll see the calibre you need for your role. ⏩ Good talent is still moving quickly! We're working on roles where candidates are being snapped up within the week between 1st and 2nd stage interviews! 🥢 Candidates are sticky, if they’re safe i.e. not being made redundant, they’re cautious to move employers without a really good reason – no one is wanting to be the “last in, first out” when it comes to restructures / redundancies. 🔐 Security and stability are key motivators, compared to this time last year where flexibility and salary where driving motivators for seeking a new opportunity. 🏤 Moving to a lot more of an “in office” preference. Businesses when hiring new employers are briefing 1 x day WFH (maybe two if needed to secure the right person), and many 5 x days in the office – a number of businesses bringing in a mandated 3 x in the office per week.

The Importance of Honest Self Reflection As a recruiter there are days that are definitely a challenge, but working from home has been an eye-opening experience, about how much I love recruitment. I am grateful to have a remote job that allows me to connect with amazing and talented individuals all over the world that are seeking a chance to improve as professionals and also their lifestyles. There is no better feeling than when one of your candidates gets the job offer, especially when you connected with them. At the end of the day, recruitment is also about connecting with people, understanding their needs, goals and culture. #recruitment #workfromhome #talentacquisition #hiring
