Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending an insightful event focused on strengthening partnerships with the Armed Forces community. It was a fantastic opportunity to deepen our understanding of the unique skills and experience that service leavers, veterans, reservists, cadets, and their families bring to the workforce. The discussions with keynote speakers and employer case studies highlighted the immense value these individuals offer—through both transferable and specialist skills. Thank you to Leeds City Council, Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Yorkshire and the Humber and West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce for making this event possible.
