Women’s month is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate women in our lives. But we could do so much more… the real conversations need to start in our own homes and our workplaces. In what ways are we daily advocating for women? In what ways are making room for them to be heard and celebrated? In what ways do we intentionally set women up for wins? Women should not have to wait for August to feel celebrated. Our campaigns and events about protecting, standing up for and standing with women should not be a facade to please or impress the crowd, this should be a genuine desire to see women win at home and at the workplace. Women are role models, prayer warriors, and leaders to many people in their communities and circles. Personally, women have had the greatest impact on my life— their resilience to keep dreaming even though the odds are against them, the tenacity to keep going when it could be easy to quit, the audacity to serve even when not appreciated, the miracle of carrying life and raising children, the power to love, to work, and to enjoy life. The drive to honor and vouch for women should not stop when the month of August ends. It should be an ongoing pursuit… 💛

Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting to Cedar Valley Women Connect on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives. If this is something you struggle with, we invite you to do this exercise: Make a list of your values. (These values are the guiding principles with which we strive to live our lives.) Then, after you list out your values, reflect back on the last week. Where have you said yes to something outside of your values? Being aware of our "yes's" and if they are in alignment with our values or not will give us a clearer picture of where we could be out of balance. The question then becomes - Why am I saying yes to something that doesn't align with my values? And that is where we can grow and learn a lot as leaders and as important members of our families to create a better trajectory forward. - Nick Kuhle & Kayla Becker
Grateful to have been given the opportunity to host our local chapter of Women Lead Change, Cedar Valley Women Connect, this morning. Attendees were joined by Kyla & Nick from Greener Shepherd who presented on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives, which is a lesson we can all benefit from!

Celebrate Women in History in March Time to honor, learn from and be inspired from the heroes from the past. March is Women's History Month, a time to celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of women throughout history. This month also recognizes those who identify as non-binary, LGBTQIA2+, and people who identify as women, as well as women who are neurodiverse and disabled and who have made a significant impact on history. To honor Women's History Month, here are a few tips: -Educate yourself: Learn about influential women in history and their remarkable accomplishments. -Support women-owned businesses: Show your support by shopping at women-owned stores or utilizing services provided by female entrepreneurs. -Amplify women's voices: Share stories, achievements, and experiences of women from diverse backgrounds on social media to uplift and empower. -Volunteer: Volunteer and/donate to organizations supporting women's rights and empowerment. -Host discussions or events: Organize gatherings to discuss issues affecting women and brainstorm ways to create positive change. Let's make this month a celebration of progress, empowerment, and solidarity! #WomensHistoryMonth #CelebrateWomen

Are you interested in #futures #futuresthinking yet don't see yourself nor your point of view as being considered as the norm? Well maybe these *Women Who Future(s)* online events are for you. Saskia H. H. introduced me to this group, and the folx behind these events have intentionally designed 2 x 2 day online events that re-centers futures thinking within the greater context of #intersectionality, #diversity, #DEI, #language, and #embodiment practices. I'm most excited about the sessions on storytelling & Africanfuturism, interacting without words, and what Khayal & the Arabic language can bring towards futures literacies.
