Are you interested in doing an internship in 🏥 Fairness in Resource Allocation Across UK Hospitals: A Data-Driven Approach at @University of Newcastle? We have four paid NortHFutures-hosted internships with Health Data Research UK (HDR UK)! Algorithmic fairness is a key piece of Responsible Artificial Intelligence (RAI). This proposal aims to investigate the fairness of resource allocation among multiple hospitals within the UK National Health Service (NHS), to improve the overall quality of healthcare services. If you are an undergrad in STEM in the UK or Ireland, you can apply. 💡 Struggling where to do your MPH Internship? ✨️ Here are few options for you to start with: 1️⃣ Get in touch with your seniors. Check what options your senior has choosen. Which organization they went, what area they worked, and how successful it was. 2️⃣ Your area of interest/ Dream organization. If you are interested in any particular area in public health (where you want your career, internship can be like a trailer for your job), you can approach the institutes, organizations, or NGOs working in the same area. If you have interest in any particular organization, you can connect with them to know whether they have internship opportunities. 3️⃣ Your own college/ University Few colleges/ Universities have their own ongoing projects or hospital where you can do your internship. Where you can get internships: ICMR provides internship for MPH students. You have to plan it and apply for it well in advance. That is, as soon as you join your MPH. NGO - NGOs provide internships. Please check their websites for internship opportunities or you can write to the HR or any senior persons in the NGO. Non-profit organizations also provide internship opportunities.
