Articulating the scope, vision, and impact of a comprehensive or #CapitalCampaign can have very specific demands. Sometimes you need to introduce new ways of communicating with your #donors for campaign success. But other times you don’t–if you already have the right structures in place. It may be time to rethink your vehicles if one or more of the following is true: 💠You need a communication that will circulate only among your principal-level donors to build affinity and set the tone for transformational giving. 💠You don’t have a vehicle for conveying regular campaign updates, or current vehicles are poorly suited to this. 💠There are internal blockers for using current communications for campaign purposes. 💠You don’t have a periodic communication that energizes your base of annual supporters and demonstrates the power of the small gift. — 👉 Have you recently rethought your communications vehicles? Please share below. — Hi, I’m Robert. I help nonprofits grow their culture of philanthropy with targeted communications and strategies for donor engagement. DM me to learn more. Like this post? Data-led systems and processes are critical to effective management of a sustainable philanthropy programme. This includes: 1. Meaningful KPIs and benchmarks for income and activity 2. Prospect research and prioritisation tools 3. Policies and processes to support good decisions and reduce risk for the organisation. Good KPIs help you to know if you are on track as well as helping you adapt your activity if what you’re doing isn’t getting the expected results. Some basic philanthropy KPIs to consider are: 1. Number and value of asks (monthly) 2. Value of the weighted pipeline 3. Percentage and value of multi-year gifts 4. Number of face-to-face meetings (and virtual / calls) 5. Annual invitation to meet with your beneficiaries (in whatever way works best for you) Please leave a comment below. We can all learn from the KPIs that work - or don’t - for you. .... #trusts #majordonors #fundraisingtips
