Reflecting back to 2013 when I embarked on the production journey of 'Killing Anabella,' I found myself immersed in the intricacies of various production styles simultaneously – from 2D/3D to live action. Despite the challenges, I successfully integrated them all into the project. 1-One pivotal aspect was the dream sequence, crucial for portraying Ana's mental trauma authentically. Here's a glimpse into the creative process behind it: 2. The 2D scene initially began as live-action footage captured in Mexico, featuring talented actors. Employing method acting techniques, I directed the performers to infuse the scene with the required intensity. 3. Each segment of the sequence was meticulously broken down into key poses, ensuring a seamless transition and an animated feel. 4. Leveraging hand-painted elements overlaid onto the live-action footage, every third frame was a dissolve frame blending previous and the next frame, enhancing the dreamy ambiance through dissolve frames. 5. Drawing inspiration from the iconic scene in Pixar's 'Ratatouille,' where 'Ego' drops his pen after tasting food, I crafted a similar moment with a falling shovel. Reflecting on this journey, my only regret is the extended timeline – it took nearly 8 years to complete the film, leading to some aspects becoming outdated. Nevertheless, the experience was invaluable, shaping me as a filmmaker and storyteller. #FilmProduction #CreativeProcess #DreamSequence #Storytelling #FilmmakingJourney

What emotions do you want the audience to feel? Keep this emotional compass in mind. →Design Elements: Choose a hero image (like Scarlett Johansson), use bold fonts for the title, and play with colors. Imagine your poster divided into thirds—balance is key. Add subtle texture for depth. Remember, your poster is a sneak peek into your movie’s world. We just launched the version 2 of StoryboardHero that includes the most requested features: CHARACTERS AND CONSISTENCY This is probably the most frequent request we have. We have made it much easier and you now have TWO ways to create consistent characters: - With Standard images (unlimited number): by using a reference character. - With Premium images (according to your plan): you can create any custom character. You can store your characters in your library of characters and use them in your storyboards. IMPORT YOUR PDF SCRIPT You can now import your formatted script in PDF format. StoryboardHero will automatically identify the scenes and propose some shots for each scene. FEATURES FOR FILMMAKERS You can now organize and easily re-organize your shots into scenes. You can then export your shot list. We have also added a lot more granularity in the settings for each shot, including: type of shot, perspective, movement, camera, focus, lighting and focal. Can you recreate a $165 million movie look? I gave it a shot. 🎬 After watching Oppenheimer, I couldn’t get enough of Christopher Nolan’s movies. The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar… They’re all in my top 10. So naturally, I had to rewatch Interstellar. And it hit me: What if I tried to recreate that cinematic magic? No €165 million budget. Just me, my gear, and an idea. I picked my shot, slapped on an anamorphic lens, and waited for the perfect soft light. But raw footage wasn’t enough. It's time to push the colors and lighting. I converted the footage to Kodak film stock since Interstellar was shot on classic Film stock. I analyzed the lighting, waveform, and colors, and tweaked everything bit by bit. After an hour of grinding... here's the final result. What do you think? https://lnkd.in/dK_T_rU9 ---‐---------------------------- In the "Papyrus" sketch from Saturday Night Live (SNL), Ryan Gosling portrays a character who is deeply bothered by the everywhere use of the Papyrus font for the movie "Avatar." He can not belive that such a blockbuster film would use a font that he perceives as overused and unoriginal. This character represents someone who is perhaps overly focused on minor details and aesthetics, to the point of being overly critical or obsessive. On the other hand, the character played by Beck Bennett, who created the font, represents someone who is proud of his work and doesn't understand why it's being ridiculed. This character embodies the creative process and the pride that comes with creating something, even if it's not always appreciated by everyone. Both characters offer insights into different aspects of creativity and criticism. The sketch humorously highlights the sometimes absurd debates that can arise over seemingly unimportant matters in the creative world. ------------------- What are your views? 🌱Repost if you find this thoughtful and relatable and do share what you feel 😀 #thoughtoftheday #creativedigitalmarketing #logo #logofonts #creation #digitalmarketcreators
