We are fully committed to tackle the challenge of #decarbonization in the #chemical industry, with a vision to achieve #CarbonNeutrality by 2050. Our journey involves a robust strategy that incorporates intensive R&D to rethink processes and products, with the aim of reducing emissions across the entire life cycle. By closely monitoring emissions (Scope 1 and 2) and quantifying indirect emissions (Scope 3), we've successfully identified key decarbonization levers (#circulareconomy, renewable chemicals, renewable energy and low-emission technology), allowing us to set ambitious emission reduction targets. Our short and medium term goals include a reduction in Scope 1+2 emissions of 15% by 2025 and of 30% by 2035, compared to our 2018 baseline. Not stopping there, we are actively involved in collaborative efforts to address indirect emissions, seeking out innovative and synergistic solutions along the entire value chain. Blue hydrogen is generated using natural gas with carbon capture and storage, while turquoise hydrogen leverages renewable energy, high-temperature electrolysis, and green ammonia production. Brown hydrogen is less environmentally friendly, while purple hydrogen integrates renewable energy with natural gas.
