Transforming clinics into spaces where teams feel valued, work runs smoothly, and you achieve your vision for exceptional care.
I've been asked to solve this issue for 100 medical clinic managers... How do I get everyone in my medical clinic to buy into a new initiative? Here's what I did... I created a framework called CAMPERS that we will use in relevant scenarios later this month. This video clip is from my pre-read video for them. Why a pre-read video? - it's short (5 mins long) - attendees don't have to read (they're tired of reading all day) - it allows everyone to know the framework ahead of time (allowing for mental fermentation) Why is it essential to review ahead of time? So that the 1.5 hour workshop is COMPLETELY INTERACTIVE. They don't have to listen to me. They will learn from each other. I'm providing the opportunity to unclog the communication channels in their medical clinics. Want to learn more about CAMPERS?

I've just completed my 24th EXPERT REPORT of 2024 🎉🤩 Balancing my time as a treating clinician, dedicating 60%-70% of it to patient care, it's been a hectic first half of the year!! Crafting a medico-legal expert report is an art form to me, it can sometimes be quite cathartic too! From a blank canvas, I meticulously document facts, analysis, and evidence-based opinions. This latest report is one I'm truly proud of ☺️ #ExpertReport #MedicoLegal #ClinicianLife

This take has stirred up some arguments before 😅 - yet I still firmly stand by it: The patient journey you offer is more important than your clinical expertise. It’s the patient journey that makes it an outstanding experience! Think carefully about how you’re: - greeting your patients coming in - speaking to your patients on the phone - engaging with your patients online - and when they're in the waiting room Consider all the small touches you could offer to enhance their experience because ultimately the patient experience is the vehicle through which they perceive their total clinical experience with you! What are your thoughts? 👂🏼

Rivera Method | Fast'n Go | Lymphedema Blueprint Course | International Bestselling Author | International Speaker | Ninjas Fighting Lymphedema Foundation|
In embracing my role as a patient educator, I created the Rivera Method to directly empower people living with lymphedema. This approach isn't just about providing medical information; it's about transforming lives by integrating the latest medical advancements with holistic practices tailored to the unique needs of those living with lymphedema. Unlike traditional methods that primarily prepare healthcare professionals, the Rivera Method focuses on the patients themselves, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of the condition. This ensures a comprehensive, empathetic approach that equips patients with the tools they need to manage their condition effectively and lead fulfilling lives. It's about shifting the paradigm from patient to self-advocate, providing the knowledge and power to navigate lymphedema with confidence and independence.💙 https://lnkd.in/gfVi9hmy

THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT *DEATH* WHEN IT’S NEEDED: Full disclosure - as a medical student and then as a medical resident, I was indirectly taught to not talk about death. Because... as the thinking went, talking about it would be an admission of failure on the part of the medical establishment. Oh, how wrong was - and still is - that approach. As this essay from JAMA shows, patients and family members are harmed when we refuse to talk about it in an open, honest manner. Here, in this brief video, I reviewed this essay, and below is a link to a PDF offered for your own review. Let's all think about our own biases, our own hangups regarding the important topic of dying and death, and how best to change our approach in order to serve the needs of all patients.
