📌This Harvard Business Review article recommends how managers should invest in #customerjourneys. The idea is to shift from a stage-wise conceptualization to unveiling the underlying patterns of your customers’ journeys, and invest in their peaks, area under the curve, slopes, and endings. 🔝🔝🔝 📌If you create the right patterns of experience in customers’ minds, they will summarize their #experiences positively. 📌Not all fluctuations are created equal: Experiences that improve over time are more successful than ones that go down and up. 📣📣📣 The CX ROI Study Report: Insights on the Financial Impact of Customer Experience In 2012, when I first started my journey as a CX practitioner, there weren't a lot of studies on the ROI of customer experience.   Then I came across one that was elegant and simple, The Watermark Consulting CX ROI study. The CX ROI Study underscores the business opportunity afforded by customer experience differentiation.   Through statistical inference, the study makes the business case for customer experience.   Here are some of the results from the updated version, now looking back at 16 years of stock portfolio performance of CX leaders vs. CX laggards:   🟠 Customer Experience Leaders outperformed the broader market, generating a total return that was over 260 points higher than the S&P 500 Index. 🟠 Customer Experience Laggards trailed far behind, posting a total return that was more than 175 points lower than the S&P 500 Index. 🟠 CX Leaders generated a total return that was 5.4 times greater than that of the CX Laggards (a performance disparity that has significantly widened over the past few years).   🎉 Fun Fact: Jon Picoult, the mastermind behind the newly released CX ROI Study, was actually my very first guest on The Delighted Customers Podcast!
