During the recruitment process, clear and timely communication is crucial, not just for efficiency, but for the well-being of all parties involved. It's disheartening to see instances where recruiters fail to respond to candidates, especially when those candidates reach out to request virtual interviews due to unforeseen circumstances. Candidates are not just resumes or numbers; they are individuals with unique challenges and situations. Ignoring their appeals for a virtual interview—or failing to communicate at all—can lead to frustration and disappointment. It’s important to remember that a candidate’s need for flexibility does not necessarily reflect on their professional capabilities or commitment. Recruiters have a responsibility to maintain open and respectful communication throughout the hiring process and also treat all candidates with respect and consideration, regardless of the situation.
