The vision and execution for this $30 million WMBE Fund (aimed at supporting up to 50 women, minorities and disabled veterans who want to enter the medical cannabis industry) epitomizes leadership far beyond the confines of the medical cannabis industry. - - - - "The motivation behind the fund is based in our commitment to diversity, but it also comes from witnessing the challenges with diversity in our industry," said Jerel Registre, director of business development at Curio and managing director of the WMBE Fund. The fund will provide up to 93% of the startup capital needed to launch a Curio Wellness Center branded dispensary, the company said.
