Great to see our partnership with Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) and University of East Anglia in a trial to study lung disease featured on the BBC News. TIPAL trial (Treating People with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis with the Addition of Lanzoprazole) is a mulitcentre clinical trial designed to find out if proton pump inhibitors (anti-acid drugs) are beneficial for people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (a lung scarring condition) by assessing lung size, breathlessness scores and coughing. It is the UK’s largest government funded pulmonary fibrosis trial.
