"Toxic relationships are more common than we might think. From the outside, it’s easy to say, “This wouldn’t happen to me,” but often, we don’t fully understand what toxic relationship traits look like. Once you’re in one, it’s easy to lose the connection to yourself, your confidence, and your ability to recognize whether the dynamic you’re experiencing is healthy or not. Here is a small guide to help you on your journey to reclaim your power." Written by Mona Vogel, CEO, Facilitator of Light Healing

Intervening is more important than your reputation. " They're scared to intervene like that, fear of confrontation. So there could be physical fear. There could be fear of reputation. So let's stop, pause on this one first. If I'm afraid that if I intervene, my reputation could be harmed. So I'm not going to stop a rape. Does that sound messed up? Yeah. So we have to acknowledge that if I'm going, well, wait, if I intervene, this could be embarrassing. I have to pause and go, wait a second, sexual assault or me being embarrassed. I'll take me being embarrassed. Right? So that, that helps us in that moment. Now the physical fear of confrontation is a real one. If I think that I'm going to intervene and Jesse's going to physically hurt me, what do I now know? I believe about Jesse in this evening. That jesse is extremely dangerous because I think if I just check in jesse's going to hurt me What's jesse going to do to Eryn if jesse gets Eryn alone in a room that night? How many agree this is a really messed up situation if we if they get alone agree, that's true So that's true" 👉 Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gntE7Q4Q #CenterForRespect #MikeDomitrz #Culture #Respect

✨"Lying by omission is a special kind of betrayal. It’s passive-aggressive, it’s cowardly, and does just as much damage as full-blown outright lie."✨ This is by far my most read article on Medium. When I reread it I can feel the vitriol that was coursing through my veins as I researched and wrote it. Can you sense that anger, too? 😐 I'm curious: I'm thinking about writing an article on this behavior in a leadership and workplace context. Do you think lying by omission can damage our work relationships? #lyingbyomission #burnout #burnoutprevention https://lnkd.in/gYzYRXRh
