Sick people out here like this getting jobs and I can't even get a call back about my application from even basic companies. I have recently been on the job hunt since I relocated to this area and the struggle is real. I have gotten to know many others who are also highly qualified for positions, and we are being ignored or turned down immediately, only to find out someone with less experience (if any) is hired, even though during the hiring process they say you need to have experience. I am also shocked about the interview process and how unprofessional or structure the people giving the interviews are. In general, How do people even get hired for the positions they are in, when they can't even do the job they are supposed to be doing??? Yet, I can't seem to get hired??!? This is CRAZY! 🙄🤔😵💫🤯😑

🌟 At KCAPeople, we believe in the ethical treatment of all living beings, including our animal counterparts. As World Animals in Laboratories Day approaches on April 24th, we pause to reflect on the importance of compassion and advocacy for the welfare of animals used in research. 🌍 This day serves as a poignant reminder of the millions of animals worldwide that contribute to scientific advancements. While their contributions are undeniable, it's imperative that we uphold the highest standards of care and respect for their well-being. 🐾 As advocates for both human progress and animal welfare, we recognise the need for responsible research practices that prioritise the humane treatment of animals. By supporting initiatives that promote alternatives to animal testing, advocating for stricter regulations, and fostering dialogue within our communities, we can work towards a future where scientific progress aligns harmoniously with compassion. 🤝 On this World Animals in Laboratories Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to advocating for the ethical treatment of animals in research. Together, we can strive for a world where innovation and empathy go hand in hand. #WorldAnimalsInLaboratoriesDay #AnimalWelfare #EthicalResearch #Compassion #KCAPeople

Vivid and nearly catastrophic reminder of culture. A colleague was enthusiastically anticipating an exciting job offer. He, the American, met with the hiring manager, a German, who'd flown to the US specifically for a final interview. After a lengthy period of acquaintance and familiarity, hey agreed to terms. Great! Here's the wrinkle. The American interpreted the terms as salary plus bonus equals total. X + Y = Z. The German's offer, apparently customary there, was total comp is comprised of salary plus bonus. X = A + B. The X's were the same number, so you can imagine the disorientation and confusion that ensued. Even the best-prepared, best-intentioned professionals can miss a subtle detail. Fortunately, all were professional and experienced enough, good negotiators, that a revised offer was made and accepted. The importance of culture! These differences can be based on nationality, gender, age/generation, etc. Don't take them for granted! This story has a happy ending. As you negotiate, do your best to confirm yours will too! #animalhealth #pethealth #livestock #veterinarymedicine #negotiations #compensation #culture #culturalnorms #culturaldifferences #brakkeconsulting #brakkesearch #recruiter
