What do you think about prayer?  Some of you may not think much of it.  Many of you believe significantly in the power of it. Wherever you fall in that spectrum, I want to encourage you to intentionally create space for quiet moments of prayer/meditation with a focus on the work you do in major gift fundraising. Over the next several days, I’m going to follow-up this post with five posts on #PrayersMeditationsGoodthoughtsSacredvibes. So if you are able to offer goods or services to make a wish happen, then please get in touch. ⭐ Can you spare just 30p a month to support your community ⭐ I'm lucky to work with Drawing Board Productions Community Interest Company who produce not for profit positive news publications for communities across South Manchester and Stockport. Each month they provide a free platform for charities, community groups and individuals to advertise their work. Drawing Board are driven by their mission to support the community but to do this they too need help to ensure that they can keep producing their newspapers, raise community spirit through their fun annual activities and events and provide those living in isolation with a window to their community. The Challenge:  Can you spare just 30p each month to help us extend our reach and support more local residents and community organisations through essential news and information? Sometimes you can be searching for that elusive link to a great prospect in your community and find one through your hospital auxiliary fundraising organization. Your prospect might have sat on the board, donated funds, participated in an event, attended an event, or volunteered for the auxiliary. Since it is often a separate entity, you might not have notes in your database that the prospect is involved with your hospital auxiliary. Next time you are searching for a linkage, do a quick Google search “hospital auxiliary name” and “prospect name”. You might be surprised by what you find! As the TRAPS Finance Chair, I'm encouraging everyone to take a minute to donate to the TRAPS CARE campaign. We only have 15 days left, and we need your help to reach our goal - even if it's only $5 or $10 bucks. Every dollar you donate helps TRAPS provide the connections, resources, advocacy, and education (CARE) to continue building the skills and knowledge of parks and recreation professionals, directly translating into enhanced services for our Texas communities. I will personally contribute $1 for every person who donates. No need to tell me the amount of your donation, just DM me or put "done" in the comments so I will know how many people donated.
