Global Business Development Manager - Clean Energy

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are blowing up in the US! Well, not literally, in most cases. BESS will continue to play a key role in expanding renewable energy markets throughout the US, with Texas set to deploy 6.4 GW and California set to deploy 5.2 GW of storage capacity in 2024. Manufacturers are making systems up to standards such as UL 9540 and NFPA 855, providing safer systems to communities. Battery chemistries are also improving. According to the EPRI white paper linked below, only 11% of BESS fires start due to the batteries. Much of the remaining 89% of fires can easily be prevented with Firetrace systems. Like Shannon N.'s anonymous testimonial said the other day, it is a matter of when, not if! 🔥 Debunking Myths About Energy Storage Fires with Firetrace 🔥 One of the biggest misconceptions is that all fires in Energy Storage Solutions start in the batteries, neglecting the fire risk associated with the PCS (Power Conversion System). Here are the facts (provided by EPRI): 1. Only 11% of fires and explosions are linked to battery module failures. 2. 43% stem from failures in electrical equipment, such as the PCS 3. 46% are due to control equipment malfunctions Watch the video and click the link below to learn more about how Firetrace is here to cover ALL your bases and protect your assets from multiple fire threats! https://bit.ly/3y2lbvn #Firetrace #FireSafety #FireSuppression #BESS #EnergyStorageSystems #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy
