54. Advocacy and Professionalism Do not hesitate to stand on the weighing machine to know your weight periodically. Professional needs to know (I) what is his/her capability (ii) what does he/ she want to be (iii) what he/ she can be ? Having unrealistic expectations about future without knowing one’s own capabilities would not lead anywhere.

How do we make ourselves in the field of advocacy? '' Then and there while at college or after pursuing a degree many people don't have an exact idea on their career, 🔷More particularly in the field of law, there was bit tough procedure, that initial stages are very crucial. 🔷Need to learn again and again in a day to day process but earnings are low. 🔷Seniors suggest to practice for 5more years as junior then only one can understand and sustain. But reality hits hard where, 🔻Age and responsibilities will travel parallel with our shortcomings. 🔻Get stuck in 9-5 cycle to meet out requirements 🔻 Getting bare minimum that too in the age of 25 to 30 🔻Forced to settle and get married Which ends up in ❌ Lost interest in job and passion ❌ Sacrificing dreams and accepting some other things ❌ Taking up pressure to prove for someone else Let me tell you one thing, whether it's a job or independent practice Choose from your own perspective Do you agree? PS :- How many are practicing on their own? and How many are working? Let us share your experiences in comments Repost ♻️ If you found useful

Just started reading a fascinating book by Colin Whittington on leveraging law enforcement skills for career transitions. In today's evolving policing landscape, feeling "locked in" in this profession is common, especially for those of us with over 10 years in. Having assistance with exploring career options for a change, or for post retirement is crucial for our profession. To my law enforcement colleagues, I highly recommend giving this insightful book a read. It's definitely worth your time. #LawEnforcement #CareerTransition #ProfessionalDevelopment
