In a world of endless distractions, one of the greatest keys to innovation often goes unnoticed: solitude.
As Luke Belmar explains in this video, solitude lets us go beyond the surface, connecting us deeply with our thoughts and opening the door to create something original and meaningful. At Brave Redemptive, we’ve embraced this, building an environment where our fellows can stay close to their thoughts, explore intentionally, and bring fresh value into the world.
Enjoy the video, take it in—and let us know how solitude has shaped your journey. Share your thoughts with #PowerOfSolitude!

I think intellect not only demands solitude, but it feeds on it. I think you are the product of who you are when no one is watching. Essentially, people are afraid of being alone because they think that being alone means that you're lonely. I was walking down the streets here in London and there was a homeless man that said hungry and lonely. I, I slept in my car, but I never felt lonely. I was with myself because I developed a relationship with myself. So solitude is extremely important because most people don't create the time, the space in order to converse with themselves. In order to think, in order to get to know who they are. Know thyself. Why? Because if you know yourself, you know your tendencies and know your habits, you know your behaviors, you know what you're good at, you're bad at what's your weakness, what your strength, You can develop a strategy, plan to to build yourself up. If you don't know who you are, you don't know where you're going, you're going to end up in limbo. Solitude is key because it creates the silence in the space in order for you to grow. And in the darkness, putting in the work, in the quiet hours, that's where winning is made.

When collaborating with others to design something new, a sense of wonder can be dismissed as childish or wasteful of time. However, that sense of wonder — the playful exploration it inspires — is critical to being able to explore the option space. It allows us to move beyond surface-level solutions, to arrive at the meaningful innovation our company and its revenue so crave. #RevenueLooksGoodOnYou
Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. The incremental, intentional steps we take shape the thought patterns and momentum that propel us forward in life. ~Earl Nightingale
Three decades after Earl Nightingale’s timeless recordings, I continue to be amazed by the depth of our potential—and how intentional action is key to creating meaningful impact. #Innovation#PersonalGrowth
What is it about getting away that gives you a new clarity? new ideas? new motivation?
Is it that our brain and bodies have less everyday 'stuff' to manage so we open up space that welcomes new ideas, space to process existing ones?
Do we become more reflective on how we want our 'return' to be different or changed from everything we left?
What insights did you have when you took a break from the everyday this year?
Did it lead to new actions/innovation or new directions?
*evening balcony shot because it's where I do my best reflecting😀😀
