After a complex site assembly process and extensive consultations with Camden Council, we leveraged high-quality architectural design principles and aligned with the London Plan's encouragement of tall buildings near transportation nodes. This approach enabled us to successfully obtain planning consent for a landmark 10-storey mixed-use tower adjacent to Finchley Road and Frognal Overground Station. Constructing within such close proximity to a platform presented challenges, and our pre-planning efforts included extensive negotiations with TFL and the establishment of a Basic Asset Protection Agreement (BAPA). Don’t miss Chandler live and unscripted tomorrow! A news story on the weekend said that the energy provisions in the latest National Construction Code were making housing unaffordable. At a cost of around $58,000 they could force some builders out of business, the story said. At The Fifth Estate we couldn’t help but wonder if builders were likewise concerned about the cost of walk in wardrobes or multiple bathrooms or marble benchtops pushing up the price? Or waterproofing for that matter? So tomorrow at our live stream we’re going to ask David Chandler what he thinks about the cost impact of better quality in apartments? You may have other questions that you can pose to him in this interactive event. For instance what happens now that he’s stepping down? How are other states moving to replicate his work?
