This topic can be a pain.. but kudos for articles that help make it less painful 🤌 Unsubscribe button IS a must and Gmail is only moving further with updating policies this way 🔝 The first time I appreciated Gmail's magical "move to spam and unsubscribe" button was when my mother asked me a simple question: Why is my Gmail storage suddenly full? I checked her mailbox and noticed that she's getting tons of ads that she accidentally subscribed to. Obviously, Gmail had no idea that she has no interest of these emails, so when my mom kept manually deleting them, they were getting back anyway, she was still a loyal subscriber. I spent only a few minutes with it: mark everything > move to spam and unsubscribe > unsubscribe from the rest of emails manually. Gmail has separated these two functions in the meantime (https://lnkd.in/dFfF6xqz), but now is trying to make it easier again 👏 My parents are often victims of these things, with no idea how subscriptions work or why should they agree with cookies banner one time, but they should not give a camera consent another time. I often put myself in the place of their IT buddy but I am realising the importance of their IT education and cyber security awareness even more. Let me praise Gmail for fighting with cyber insecurity 🙌 And let us spend some more time with our parents to TALK about mailboxes, allowed phone permissions and password managers to keep them safe 🔐

You craft the perfect email, hit send, and... crickets. What happened? Did anyone even open it? Were your links too boring? The truth is, email marketing is more than just hitting "send.” It’s about understanding what happens after. Here are the key email metrics that reveal whether your emails are working or need a revamp; 1. Open Rate. This metric tells you how many people actually opened your email. If your open rate is tanking, it’s likely time to freshen up those subject lines. Think punchy, curiosity-inducing, and maybe throw in a dash of personalization. A good subject line can be the difference between a click or a skip. 2. Click-Through Rate (CTR). Your CTR measures how many people clicked on a link in your email. If the number is lower than you hoped, maybe your content didn’t match the hype of the subject line. Fix this by crafting CTAs that are bold and clear, tell them exactly why they need to click. 3. Bounce Rate. Bounces happen when your emails don’t land in the inbox. A high bounce rate could mean your list needs a scrub. Clean up those invalid or inactive addresses, and make sure new subscribers aren’t giving you fake emails. 4. Unsubscribe Rate. If people are leaving faster than they’re joining, it’s a red flag. Maybe your emails are too frequent, or you’re just not hitting the right notes with your content. Try segmenting your list and speaking more directly to specific groups. Email metrics will help improve your campaigns. Watch the numbers, make small tweaks, and watch how your results shift. If you need help crafting a winning email marketing strategy, let's connect! What does every email marketer dream of? Is it: ☞ Every email landing in your subscribers’ inboxes? ☞ Every email receiving engagement? ☞ Every email being opened? For a long time, I struggled with the fact that I was unable to achieve all of these goals when I sent email campaigns. Then I realised that you should dream to meet goals that are ✨achievable given your current resources ✨ After all, if your data is outdated, Your emails need to be redesigned, And your copy needs an overhaul… Setting such high expectations for every email campaign will just leave you disappointed ☹️ So now, I try stick to manageable goals based on the relevant metrics for each email campaign’s goals. For newsletters, I want users to read rather than skim the email 👀 For promotional campaigns, I want above industry standard click through rates to relevant landing pages. For welcome emails, I want open rates above 65%, This may sound extremely high but your newest subscribers tend to be your most engaged. What’s one of your email marketing goals? #Dreams #EmailMarketing #SettingExpectations

Struggling with low click-through rates in your email campaigns? Here are three simple hacks that can give you an immediate boost. Try them out, share your results, and let's discuss! #EmailMarketing #MarketingHacks Hack 1: Personalize Your Emails 👉Go beyond just inserting the recipient's name. Tailor content based on user behavior or purchase history. Personalized emails feel more relevant and are more likely to be clicked. Hack 2: Optimize Email Previews 👉Utilize the pre-header text effectively—it's the first line of text that appears after the subject line in many email clients. Make it a compelling continuation of your subject line. Hack 3: Use Clear and Compelling CTAs 👉Your call-to-action should stand out and tell recipients exactly what you want them to do. Experiment with button colors, positioning, and action-oriented language. Implementing these hacks can quickly impact your email marketing success. 📈 What quick changes have you made to your email campaigns that delivered results?
