Brazeway Adrian's Engineering Technician Dan Solis is serving as Campaign Co-Chair for the Lenawee Cares Advisory Board and is shown here with members of the HOPE Community Center awarding funding from this year's campaign. “Brazeway Believes” works with the Lenawee Cares Campaign as an effective way for employees to donate to important causes in our community. The annual fundraising campaign, implemented in 2016, provides grants and designations to local nonprofit organizations with a specific focus of meeting the basic needs of individuals in our community. Donations are accepted each fall and grant recipients are selected the following spring. The Lenawee Cares Advisory Board, a group of community leaders, oversees the process with support from Lenawee Community Foundation staff. The Lenawee Cares Advisory Board is made up of community volunteers who review community data, assess community needs, and make recommendations for funding where gifts can make the greatest impact. To date nearly $4 million has been granted to local programs. Part of Brazeway's Code of Conduct states that "support each other, including our families and our communities." Thanks to Dan for his work on this initiative, and to all of our employees who give time and treasure to make our communities better.

The Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 35-2779639). Our goal is to provide cleaner air in school and other public buildings with particular interest in underserved and/or vulnerable communities. We do this largely through financial grants, materials, or a combination of the two to build Corsi-Rosenthal boxes (CR Boxes). The Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation is run by consensus of a Board of Directors. All Board members are volunteers and receive no salary. As such, 100% of donations go directly to grantees for cleaning the air for their communities. No donations are used to purchase materials from companies affiliated with any Board members. Donations come in two forms: (1) individuals or corporations can make a financial donation, or (2) filter manufacturers and other companies can donate filters, fans or duct tape which are provided to grantees for assembling CR Boxes. While the Foundation is young and ramping up activities, we are proud to have allocated resources to build CR Boxes in schools/school districts and veterans centers in Mississippi, Kentucky, Arizona, Washington DC, and more. Rossi Companies Makes Community Impact with Donation INDIANAPOLIS - Jan. 21, 2024 - PRLog -- Indianapolis, IN 01/20/24 The Rossi Companies Inc. a premier multi service contractor based in Indianapolis made a generous donation of $50,000.00 to the Catholic Charities with the understanding that the proceeds were to be distributed for the less fortunate in both Indianapolis, and Louisville conversely for people that are homeless and needing provisions for shelter and aide during this time of extreme cold weather. We have very close ties to the Catholic Church, and feel it's both our obligation and duty to give back to communities when people are struggling just eat and find shelter, more so when temperatures have been lingering in the single digits, compounded by snowfall. With the many partnerships that we have developed over the years, we felt compelled to set a precedent as a partner that people can relate to, and are proud of as well. In the final analysis, we feel that helping our needing members in the community is both profitable and bottomline... We will continue to monitor our surroundings as the days progress, and lend any further help that may be needed accordingly. rossicompanies.com Contact Corporate Communications Rossi Companies Inc. rossicompanies.com ***@rossicompanies.com End Source : Lisa Capazelli Email : ***@rossicompanies.com Listed Under- Tags : Corporate Giving, Community Help, Community Outreach Industry : Construction, Business, Engineering Location : Indianapolis - Indiana - United States

Trust-based philanthropy is an approach that seeks to promote collaboration and reciprocity between funders and non-profit organizations. Ultimately, trust-based philanthropy helps both funders and grantees be more effective in their work by centering human relationships and honest communication. At NRF, we’ve already updated many of our grantmaking practices to reflect trust-based principles, and we’re committed to continuing the work in partnership with our grantees. https://lnkd.in/gce_6Uvf

In 2024, the KFC Foundation will award $10,000 to up to 100 nonprofits "to make their Kentucky Fried Wishes come true." From the Foundation's website: > "We’re looking for tangible, actionable projects that are feasible to accomplish with the $10,000 grant and will make an immediate impact in your community." > If you have a larger project (i.e., 100-mile trail restoration), break it down into something that $10,000 could cover in full (i.e., 10-mile trail restoration out of our 100-mile project). If additional funding is needed, detailed plans for securing additional resources must be provided in the Project Budget.

Has the Giving Crisis Reached the Point of No Return? NO! But we have to pay attention.... "As nonprofits combat the giving crisis, a few key strategies are emerging. Organizations are working to build out their base of everyday donors with the goal of ensuring a continuous pipeline. To do that, fundraisers are working hard to build personal relationships to hold on to existing supporters, take advantage of donors’ own networks to attract new support, and rethink how to measure fundraising success." One day what we call sustainability will just be called "business" | Author: Managing Sustainability: First Steps to First Class
I am reminded of the saying 'waste is a verb, not a noun.' The environmental and social benefits of this are immeasurable - but they are quantifiable. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle - also requires 'Rethinking' - how can this be used? By whom? Can it be useful in it's current form? Modified? Or recycled into new products. Landfill should be the last resort. #circularity #waste Installnet
WMAR-TV in Baltimore featured our decommission project for MOI, with a great message: Don’t dump, donate. MOI is remodeling its roughly 13,000 square foot showroom and wanted to be sure all the wonderful furniture stayed out of landfill. Some of it went to employees, some of it was sold, and multiple truck loads of desks, chairs, tables, sofas, cabinets and more were donated to eight different nonprofits and community groups. Keeping furniture in circulation helps the environment and the community, allowing everyone to thrive. Together, we’re getting zero done. #circularity MillerKnoll Bridges Baltimore Black Women Build - Baltimore Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland Anne Arundel County Public Schools https://lnkd.in/eqAA6VBT
