Yay, Andy!!! I am super glad to hear you introducing folks to participatory democracy & deliberative democracy (or my favorite term, proposed by Iris Marion Young, "communicative democracy"...) The only thing I'd add, is that "sitting in circle" is how many Indigenous peoples conducted their self-governance processes; so in that way, there's an ancient connection between these democratic innovations that are growing today, and the "Circle Holding" work that these lovely folks who interviewed you are doing.

Did you think that circles were only "Women's Circles". In the first series of the Circle Holding podcast I interviewed a number of men (Tessa interviewed women too so we have a good balance!). In today's episode Andy Paice shares his knowledge of participatory democracy - something that has successfully brought together a wide variety of opinions and brought consensus around contentious issues and given voice to people who usually have none. Thank you Andy Paice for broadening our knowledge around what circle holding can offer communities - you can listen here - or wherever you usually listen to your podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eRhnNiX5 - and if you love the episode do subscribe, share and give us a five star rating!

🎧 #podcast #women #age #wisdom "Third acts are important, they can make sense out of the first two", says Jane Fonda, 85, on the first episode of the podcast "Wiser than me". And, you guessed it, it's the third act of life she ist talking about ... If you (like me) sometimes need a good dose of inspiration, humour, surprise as well as tried and tested advice from women that are wiser than you, then I warmly recommend Julia Louis-Dreyfus' interview podcast.

🥁 Drumroll, please... The Everyday Effectiveness team is launching a podcast! Co-hosted with Tonya Kubo, The Business You Really Want is the show for women ready to build a sustainable, fulfilling business that aligns with their values AND their lives. I hope you’ll take two minutes to check out the trailer and share within your networks. After working with RJ Parrish and the team at Evoke Media Ads (not to mention everything I've learned from Tonya and other podcasters over the years), here's what I know to be true: 🎤 Trailer downloads and listens make a big impact in how a show’s initial episodes perform. 🎤 Subscribing to the show now on your podcast player of choice and YouTube ensures you never miss an episode when it lands. 🎤 Reviews and comments matter — If you’re checking it out on a platform that allows either, please let yourself be heard. We launch full episodes on Aug. 13, and we have between now and then to build up initial momentum for the show. Check the comments for direct access to watching/listening on your platform of choice.

How Do You Want to Be Perceived? When you walk into a meeting, you’re not just contributing— You’re shaping how others see you. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself: 👉 What do I want people to take away from this meeting? 👉 What do I want them to think of me when they hear my name? This isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not— It’s about defining your image with intention and showing up authentically. In my latest podcast episode with Jenny Toh, we explore how introverted women can control how they’re perceived at work without faking confidence or becoming someone they’re not. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: As Stephen Covey said, “Begin with the end in mind.” Before any important meeting or interaction, take a moment to reflect: ✔️ What outcome do I want from this meeting? ✔️ How do I want to show up? ✔️ What impression do I want to leave behind? Your professional image isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room— It’s about being intentional, present, and aligned with your authentic self. 👉 Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/gJvtiCpY

At least once I day I find myself asking, "Have you listened to the Wiser Than Me podcast?" So this is a PSA - please do yourself a favor and listen to Wiser Than Me, hosted by the amazing Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Here are just a few things I love about this podcast: 1. Perspective: Julia interviews notable women in their 70s, 80s and 90s. They share what they've learned - what has mattered and what doesn't. (A few personal faves: Patti Smith, Gloria Steinem, Carol Burnett, Isabel Allende) 2. Authenticity: These episodes transcend interviews and are real and intimate conversations that are deeply personal. 3. Inspiration: We so rarely get to hear from women of this age, despite the success that they have all had, which is the whole point of this podcast. I am consistently awed and inspired. I crave more, and though it appears that this is a seasonal podcast, not a regular weekly. Fortunately, there are two seasons to listen to! Seriously, check this out. https://lnkd.in/gnp8idW3 #wiserthanme #podcast #inspiration #authenticity #perspective #unpaidendorsement
