Here’s a bit of a framework when it comes to resilience sites for high speed running. This certainly isn’t an exhaustive list of progressions, but certainly enough to get the ball rolling Honourable mention goes to the lateral trunk / obliques being able to assist in resisting deformation through the trunk laterally flexing upon ground contact. Over the next few posts I’ll highlight these movements specifically!

The demands of speed. An apt description. The forces generated with regard to speed are extreme. As we watch the events unfold in Paris it is good to realise that behind an Olympic athlete is a wealth of knowledge, training and experience.
