OME, on behalf of the BW Group with affiliate BW ESS, play role in energy storage project. To provide reliability and grid stability for intermittent renewable energy. Non renewable energy from Cole, Oil, and Natural Gas absolutely enable to provide Grid stability energy easily most of the time. But the source from renewable energy such as, Solar, Wind, Tidal, and Wave power are Intermittent for supplying in given time. One thing that most possible way from intermittent into continuous for the grid stability, and reliability. Conversion Wind energy into Wind turbine, Kinetic energy to electricity.

Pumping hours in PSP- Increasing presence of variable and intermittent renewable energy sources (VRE) like solar and wind in energy mix are incentivized by storage services like Pumped storage systems. PSPs either consumes solar and wind through grid or the solar and wind in its vicinity (in case of integrated renewable energy project mode). Then how come the pumping hours are estimated by considering consumption of a constant power by the PSP when it is obvious that source of power is from the variable and intermittent renewable energy source?

A) Wind, solar, battery B) Truly firm power How to get from A to B? BECOME a utility. That's not going to happen or IS it? Independent Power Producers acting alongside utilities are providing firm renewable power. Intersect Power in Texas provides firm power with wind, solar and battery plus 20% fossil gas generation. How to reduce fossil fuel for firming? TLDR: markets + transmission At minimum utilities need to be permitted/required to open their transmission to allow for clean power MARKETS. Ideally utilities also extend their TRANSMISSION to neighboring regions. (reconductoring DOUBLES transmission) The lowest cost options are MARKET solutions: Texas, and FORMERLY Alberta show how an open market can work. Markets can incentivize clean generation and also change WHEN power is used with Time Of Use rates (off-peak electric car charging). Pexapark Consultancy in Europe is helping FIRM renewable energy, by growing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) MARKET. A power purchase agreement is a contract with three parties: 1) generator 2) buyer 3) utility.
