Why is it an unpopular opinion to state the truth and the obvious? We all know the harms of second hand smoke, we know only 11.5% of the US Smokes. Yet casinos continue to ‘believe’ that all gamblers smoke and that they’d lose business if they removed smoking. Well thank goodness for Resorts (and others) for making a move so that cigar smokers have to walk a few steps away from the table to have a cigar now. This is pure smoke and mirrors which solves nothing but give the illusion that they’re doing good. We all know you can smell a cigar a hundred feel away, meaning we are actively breathing in those toxic chemicals regardless of distance. We need people in power who are strong enough to speak up. Strong enough to do their own fact finding to see what gamblers really want. Willing to take a stand for what we ALL know is right. Seek out advice of heads of casinos who are nailing it now and are smokefree like parx casino , Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel , Mohegan Sun , Foxwoods Resort Casino . I applaud them for sticking to being majority smokefree and killing the competition. There comes a time when you have to catch up with the times and you’re already behind it. Close the loophole everywhere and make casinos smokefree like every other professional building, entertainment complex or boardwalk/beach in Atlantic City.

That was a lot of words man. Let me counter. The casinos you mention have near-monopolies so that’s why they are successful and most of the ones that have completely banned smoking are not as busy or popular. Plus if I am willing to lose $100,000 at a table and I want a GD cigar at the table then bring me a cigar, Garçon. If you don’t like it, outspend me at the table and then you can make the pit boss make me leave. End. Of. Rebuttal. PS Your post has a typo. See if you can find it. I’ll give you a hint. Add an S to the end of one word. Ok 👋🏽

Casinos are usually quite large. Has anyone tried a completely separate smoking room/building with separate air and ventilation?

I guess if you know your demo then do what works for you. Try that in NE Oklahoma and the tribal casinos would go out of business!

Have more cigar bars in casino's! Resorts also has a world class Cigar Bar onsite so we can scratch that itch :-)

You will see, the more regulation anyone puts on anything, the less attraction.

Super disappointed that Agua went smoking again. I have asthma and now going into Agua is followed by hours of wheezing and coughing.
